Don your bibs and break out your finest threads because we are gearing up for a fresh start. While we’ve enjoyed seeing your smiling faces for lunch and takeaway, we can all agree that dinner just hits different. Our restaurants cover everything from new to award-winning, fine dining experiences to ‘any-night’ spots, but most importantly, they’re places people want to return to again and again. During Hong Kong’s longest lockdown to date, you’ve undoubtedly kept a catalogue of all the places, tables and plates you can enjoy after 6pm with your select crew. The myriad of possibilities can be daunting, so here’s a guide to seven days of dinners worth celebrating with us, a week-long itinerary to enjoy everything that’s new and happening in our world.

Friday
Let’s kick the weekend off with a bang, a fiery Sichuan bang at Grand Majestic Sichuan. Our newest opening is a glamorous fever dream and is opening for dinner for the first time. Taking you on a journey into the flame-fired depths of Sichuan cookery is Chef Robert Wong. A fourth generation chef in a family of restaurateurs, Chef Robert takes the cuisine to new heights by presenting familiar flavours through a fine dining lens. We recommend the Chongqing La Zi Ji, or firecracker local ‘three-yellow’ chicken with facing heaven chillies, the pride and joy of Chongqing. With pieces of chicken buried in a mountain of dried chillies, this classic delicacy is vibrant and sharp in taste. True to tradition, the more chillies, the more special the occasion.
Saturday
That Rocky Aoki dream is back. Celebrate the return of Saturday nights with a lavish teppanyaki affair at Crown Super Deluxe, where a magical meal by the teppan is accompanied by an immersive show. After indulging in perfectly cooked wagyu and seafood, end the night – or keep it going – in the whisky room, sample a selection of Japanese and American whiskey that spotlights the best that these two nations have to offer. What happens here, stays here.
Sunday
A Sunday well spent brings a week of content at Le Garçon Saigon. From Saigon to LA, to New York, to Hong Kong, our new Head Chef John Nguyen brings a revamped menu and his renowned experimental flair to Star Street’s Saigonese brasserie. Enjoy a selection of wine and refreshing cocktails on our charming neighbourhood terrace as the sun sets on Wan Chai before heading indoors to dig into the daily specials Chef Nguyen has cooking up on the grill.
Monday
Another fresh, wide-eyed face you’ll see smiling from the pass at Maison Libanaise is new Head Chef Teya Mikhael. Born and raised in Lebanon, Chef Mikhael brings the flavours of her childhood to Hong Kong’s all day Lebanese canteen. How does Monday night under the stars sound? Enjoy a sharing-style mezze along with a selection of vins on our breezy rooftop terrace La Buvette, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Soho.
Tuesday
Let Chef Luca Marinelli take you and your date on a trip down to the colourful and diverse coast of Italy at Osteria Marzia. A standout from the selection of new seasonal dishes is the Polpo – octopus with zucchini cream, octopus reduction and sweet pecorino. Next, sit down and experience the treasures of the sea with Chef’s new two-person tasting menu where the star of the show is the catch of the day prepared to your liking, accompanied by handmade pastas and paired with some interesting and niche Southern Italian wines recommended by Sommelier Constanza.
Wednesday
Hump day at Ho Lee Fook. Grab your crew (up to four, of course) and sit down to the wok-centric classics at the second evolution of this Elgin Street institution where Chef ArChan adds her take on classic Cantonese dishes. The Live Razor Clams are a personal favourite from her childhood, but her roast specials – from the honey-glazed Kurobuta pork char siu grilled over charcoal to the showstopping Ho Lee Duck – are not to be missed. For a boisterous and jubilant night out that reflects the city’s deep love for food, there should be no shortage of good times, good fortune, and lion dances at Ho Lee Fook.
Thursday
Izakayas are a mainstay of Japanese working culture and late-night drinking. After putting in a long shift at the office, there is nothing better than fuelling up with Spicy Chicken Karaage, Crispy Caramel Butter Corn, and a selection of signature Izakaya snacks at Fukuro. With a revamped cocktail menu, it is the only way to wind down on a Thursday night, so try a highball or three, and an obligatory carafe of sake, of course. The enigmatic vibes and late night menu will be rocking until 10pm.
