BLACK SHEEP GALLERY PRESENTS: THE ART OF HOSPITALITY AT ART CENTRAL
Black Sheep takes over the hospitality programme at Art Central for the second consecutive year, aiming to elevate Hospitality to its rightful place among the arts. Black Sheep Gallery is a testament to the belief that hospitality, from food and wine, to storytelling, to music to the very act of service itself, orchestrates a singular, transformative experience that can only be an art all its own.
Black Sheep Gallery invites guests to discover six compelling hospitality stories, with Vietnamese street food-inspired dishes from Chôm Chôm, a lively Lebanese menu from Maison Libanaise, modern izakaya favourites from Fukuro and French classics from Jean-Pierre, all topped off with scoops from Messina, Hong Kong’s favourite gelato. And for those in need of a refreshing drink, Botanical Garden makes its Art Central debut this year, offering a sophisticated retreat where visitors can relax, rejuvenate and unwind.

DISCOVER CULINARY TRADITION THE NAWABI WAY AT PRINCE AND THE PEACOCK
The Nawabs of Bengal, particularly during the 18th and 19th centuries, were known for their opulence, cultural patronage and exquisite cuisine. With a scope of influence that spanned present-day Bangladesh, West Bengal, Odisha and parts of Assam, they facilitated a remarkable cultural pairing between Mughlai aristocrats and Bengali artisans and intellectuals, blending courtly sophistication with the rich local pantry of ingredients and produce.
Immersed in aromatic spices, slow-cooking techniques and the extensive use of fish from over 40 flowing rivers and tributaries that whisper their secrets to Bengali kitchens, Chef Palash pays tribute to this culinary legacy with the present of eight new dishes, which forever changed how India eats. Highlights include the Bhaja Maach ($128), a pan-fried barramundi belly with Kasundi mustard chutney, and the flavourful Bhapa Chingri ($288), featuring steamed freshwater flower prawns with coconut and ground mustard, best enjoyed with rice or a pulao. Drawing inspiration from Chef Palash’s fondness for local roast goose, the Haser Kaliya ($278) offers a reinterpretation of the Sylheti speciality, with tandoor-cooked goose seekh kababs simmered in goose stock with fried onions, cashew cream and mint.
These culinary masterpieces are available for individual order or as a set for $748 per guest for a full selection.
