THE ART OF HOSPITALITY

Tradition tells us there are seven forms of art: Music, Sculpture, Painting, Literature, Architecture, Performance and Film. At Black Sheep, we believe in an eighth: Hospitality.

Black Sheep returns to the Central Harbourfront from 26 to 30 March to take over the hospitality programme at Art Central for the second consecutive year.

The food and wine, the stories, the music, the language, and the very act of service itself, all orchestrates into a transportive experience and singular art piece of its own. We look forward to welcoming you to the Black Sheep Gallery.

JEAN-PIERRE

Standing at once in both exuberant homage and rebellious defiance of French culinary traditions, Jean-Pierre is a tribute to an extraordinary life, brimming with joie de vivre. Dinner starts and finishes at the bar and follows the eponymous namesake’s philosophy that “everything on the table is to be shared”.

Chôm Chôm

Chôm Chôm has been a SoHo neighbourhood mainstay since it opened in 2013. The spirited, late-night corner makes its way to the harbourfront for this year’s Art Central, bringing with it the frenetic, fast-paced energy of late-night Vietnam to life to the Fair and a vibrant menu of Vietnamese street food-inspired dishes including the iconic and beloved pho roll.

MAISON LIBANAISE

Experience the cultural renaissance, nourishing fare and familial hospitality of 1960s Beirut. Expect a menu of beloved favourites showcasing the warming nature of Lebanese culture and the vibrancy of its food, with kebabs, salads and sides on the go.

FUKURO

Fukuro is a spirited izakaya for the city‘s night owls and a love letter to debaucherous Tokyo nights. With its first Japanese venue, Black Sheep Restaurants interprets the boisterous Ginza watering holes where work-weary suited salarymen go to eat, drink and let loose. From smoky, dimly lit basement joints to lively bars, izakayas differ wildly. However, shrines to this quintessentially Japanese dining style are united by a common ground: the sharing of plates, accompanied by copious amounts of drinking.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

Spilling out onto the terrace alongside the majestic Dining Room is a lush space overflowing with green foliage reminiscent of British heritage gardens where guests will find respite in the form of the city’s finest gin and tonics.
