Black Sheep’s celebrated winter pop-up returns from 2 December to 15 January, promising an unforgettable après-ski experience done right.
This winter, forget the quiet escape. Black Sheep’s legendary Chalet des Alpes is making its much-anticipated return, and this year, it is all about the celebration. Transforming a sprawling new location in the heart of SoHo into an Alpine escape, the celebrated pop-up is back from 2 December to 15 January. Prepare to be transported to a high-altitude bash where Euro-disco tunes provide the soundtrack, the fondue flows freely and the energy of après-ski comes alive.
This year’s incarnation is the most immersive yet, designed to feel like you have stumbled into the hottest soiree in the Alps. Spanning two floors, the rustic charm of a traditional wooden chalet is electrified with the buzz of a festive woodland fête, complete with snow-dusted peaks and a crackling festive atmosphere. The dress code? Your best après-ski chic, so arrive ready to be part of the alpine scene. Those dressed in their favourite mountain gear get a complimentary shot of kirsch to get the party started!
The adventure extends far beyond the dining table. For large groups ready to go wild, the Alpine Lounge, our private dining room on the second floor is the ultimate alpine hideaway to let one’s hair down and be immersed in the true spirit of après-ski. Competitive sides will be unleashed in the dedicated games room, where laughter-filled evenings are fuelled by friendly competition over Nageln, – a classic Swiss game and the ultimate test of skill: one swing, one nail, one winner – Foos Ball, giant Jenga, wooden tic-tac-toe and the legendary shotski, ensures every moment is infused with pure, unadulterated fun.

Before the feast begins, the bar is the perfect place to gather and get in the spirit with a fragrant glass of Mulled Wine. The menu that follows is a hearty celebration of cold-weather comforts. The journey begins with a classic Charcuterie, a selection of traditional cured meats and a crisp Salade de Mâche Mimosa. Next, the unmistakable aroma of Raclette, sizzling melted Swiss cheese, fills the air, served warm and melted over potatoes, cornichons and pickled onions.
No Alpine party is complete without a bubbling pot of Fondue Moitié-Moitié, a traditional Swiss cheese fondue made with equal parts Gruyère and Emmental cheese with white wine. Of course, tradition must be observed, and you must agree on a penalty for the unfortunate soul who loses their bread in the decadent molten pot. And those in the know should not forget to ask their favourite mountain guide about the secret finish to any great fondue meal. And before it is all said and done, the final temptation arrives: a delicate Tarte au Chocolat Noir, the perfect end to an Alpine dream before venturing back onto the streets of SoHo.

To complement the extravaganza, our expert sommeliers have curated a thoughtful selection of French and Swiss wines and three distinct beverage packages to match any on-piste style:
