Maison Libanaise is a three-floor Lebanese restaurant, wine bar and rooftop terrace in SoHo, inspired by the elegant homes and neighbourhood spirit of Beirut's Achrafieh. The spirit of the house is shaped by the Lebanese women who nurtured Head Chef Teya Mikhael growing up, women of conviction, style and instinctive generosity, whose fridges were full of good things and whose tables always had room for one more. Led by Chef Teya, Maison Libanaise serves classic Lebanese dishes centred on the charcoal grill, generous mezze and food made for sharing, alongside Hong Kong's largest selection of Lebanese wines. Each floor has its own distinct rhythm, from the ground-floor wine and mezze bar, an easy stop for two, to the first-floor dining room where guests settle in around the table, to the rooftop terrace that brings groups together for celebrations under the open sky. Maison Libanaise is a house for the neighbourhood, built around the pleasures of gathering well.
For Chef Teya Mikhael, a love of cooking began at home in Lebanon, watching and learning from her mother and grandmother. Those early lessons, where simple ingredients and thoughtful cooking could gather everyone around the table, stayed with her as she went on to work in kitchens across the country. Today, at Maison Libanaise, her cooking is a reflection of where it all began: the familiar flavours, traditions and generosity of the Lebanese table.
