Unveiling The Biggest Black Series Ever

The next chapter of dining in Hong Kong has arrived. The biggest edition to date of our beloved dining celebration Black Series returns from 4 to 18 July, bringing with it a season of firsts: new restaurants, new dishes, new dining experiences and an all-new loyalty perk to reward guests who keep coming back for more. Now in its eighth year, Black Series has invited guests to rediscover the magic of dining out through limited-time menus across our entire portfolio of restaurants, always at exceptional value. This edition pushes the boundaries of flavour and hospitality further than ever before, highlighting two entire weeks of in-demand newcomers to the group alongside returning favourites.

This summer marks the Black Series debut of four brand new restaurants, each with its own point of view and destination-worthy appeal. At SoHo’s buzziest new opening Jean-Pierre (from $698), a jubilant homage to the charming and decadent bistros of Paris, guests can enjoy timeless French classics including Oeufs Mimosa and Entrecôte Frites. At Peng Leng Jeng (from $188), a neon-lit tribute to Hong Kong’s vanishing dai pai dongs, guests can enjoy their pick of two street-side Cantonese hits from Chef ArChan Chan, featuring blazing stir-fries, icy beers and throwback Cantopop soundtracking the night. High above the city, newly opened FALCONE Peak (from $258) and La Vache! Peak (from $348) bring Neapolitan chaos and Parisian steak-frites to the city’s highest vantage point, with the best views of Hong Kong’s skyline to match.

This edition also introduces a slate of new dining experiences designed to surprise and delight. Mark a place in your diary for Afternoon Tea at Magistracy Dining Room (from $368) as English sparkling wine sets the stage for classic British teatime indulgence served under the grand arches of the historic Magistracy building, or discover Terwiia Libanaise at Maison Libanaise (from $158), a soulful new breakfast menu from Chef Teya Mikhael, celebrating the vibrant morning traditions of her native Lebanon. For those in a party mood, the city’s favourite disco party gets a twist of je ne sais quoi with Bastille Day Le Disco Brunch at La Vache! SoHo ($638), a one-day-only party brunch on Sunday 13 July, pairing steak-frites and free-flow with glitter, grooves and Gallic flair.

As always, Black Series offers our Chefs a chance to showcase the best produce and ingredients of the season, with mouthwatering new dishes to discover on each menu, including:

  • BELON: Shima Aji with grape and pink peppercorn
  • Fukuro: Ko Ika Karaage with crispy squid, coleslaw and garlic crumbs
  • Ho Lee Fook: Typhoon Shelter Corn with black bean, chilli and crispy garlic
  • Osteria Marzia: Pasta Alla Trapanese with grilled prawns and Sicilian pesto
  • New Punjab Club: Machli Ka Salan with grouper, spiced tomato and curry leaves
  • Magistracy Dining Room: Steamed Seabass Fillet with mandarin butter sauce
  • Grand Majestic Sichuan: Mala Crab Fried Rice with egg and spring onion

But that is not all: for the first time ever, Black Series offers guests the chance to Be The Host With The Most; a brand-new loyalty perk that rewards additional bookings during the Black Series period. All Black Series guests can enjoy 10% off pre-payment on their second booking and beyond when making reservations for lunch and dinner.

Black Series bookings open to the public on Friday, 27 June, and can be made via https://blackseries.com.hk. All reservations are first-come, first-served, non-refundable and final. Full menus and experiences are listed on the website.
