Celebrate Tết In Style
The Vietnamese New Year, Tết, falls at the same time as Lunar New Year and shares many of the same traditions. Families clean their homes prior to the holiday, adults give lucky money to children in red envelopes and of course, it is a time spent with loved ones, eating well. Share a taste of Tết at Le Garçon Saigon with two celebratory specials, the spectacular Wood-fired Suckling Pig served with fried and steamed baos alongside Vietnamese kimchi is a feast in itself and needs to be pre-ordered 24 hours in-advance. Or try the new Grilled Vietnamese Duck with tamarind and chilli glaze served with house-made pickles. Both dishes are available at the Wan Chai Saigonese grillhouse from 30 January to 6 February.

Or round up the crew and join Chefs John Nguyen and Logan Hester for a celebration to bring in the new year with a sharing-style Vietnamese charcuterie board and traditional rice wine at Chôm Chôm. This special dish is available to add on to any feast of bia hoi bites from 1 through 6 February.

Extraordinary Experiences Spent Together
For friends and families looking for something new to do over the holidays, Messina’s Gelato Making Class is a delicious way to learn a skill. Head Chef Karys Logue will guide you through how to churn freshly made gelato the Messina way and each guest will have the opportunity to create and pasteurise a 1L tub of gelato or sorbet of their choice to take home.

Or spread the joy and get the crew together at Butter’s Cake Shop on Staunton Street for an unforgettable baking class designed for four. Each guest will make, bake, and decorate their very own cake or pie from one of Butter’s signature recipes, alongside flowing bubbles, and the funkiest retro beats.
