Our beloved dining week Black Series, the celebration of dining out, is set to make a comeback from 17 to 26 January, offering an array of signature menus at exceptional value across all restaurants.
This January edition of Black Series will enable guests to pre-celebrate the Lunar New Year with their loved ones through exceptionally high value lunches, dinners and extraordinary experiences, embracing the season’s spirit with references to classic Hong Kong Lunar New Year films, embodying the essence of togetherness and joy that characterises the holiday season.
To amplify the joy of reunion, each guest joining Black Series will receive a lai see with redeemable in-restaurant prizes for their next visit, such as a complimentary bottle of Champagne or two-for-one offers on lunch and dinner, aiming to bring prosperity in the Year of the Snake.
In this year’s edition, Black Series welcomes new restaurants, such as feasts fit for royalty at Prince and the Peacock. Each guest’s journey begins with Chef Palash’s seasonally rotating selection of unapologetically bold welcome snacks, chosen to enchant the senses and set the stage for the feast that awaits. Exclusive highlights include Lobster Shorba in tomato broth, coconut cream and house-made condiments; Boti Kabab, tandoor-glazed wagyu short ribs with sesame chutney; and Murgh Makhanwala with braised chicken, tomato and butter. All served along with Butter Naan and Hara Salad.
From our pop-up in SoHo, Peak Pizza beckons with an irresistible combo that you cannot refuse: one crispy New York-style slice paired with a house pour, a match made in pizza heaven.
Beloved MICHELIN-starred favourites New Punjab Club, and BELON each offer unforgettable experiences. The boisterous Punjabi grillhouse will delight guests with its popular Nashta breakfast menu and seasonal delights: Quail Egg Bhuna Pav served with milk buns, Baingan Ki Chaat with Eggplant Chaat and Wagyu Oxtail Biryani with an exquisite depth of flavour. BELON presents an elegant selection including Spanish Mackerel with ginkgo nut and red curry, and smoked Pekin Duck with sugarcane and sakura.
Magistracy Dining Room serves up timeless London excellence under the guidance of Executive Chef Alyn Williams, such as Black Series-exclusive Dressed Crab on buttered toast and a classic Slow-Cooked Roast Beef for two carved tableside, served with horseradish cream and beef jus.
As Black Series continues, the reimagined menu from Associazione Chianti offers a true Italian trattoria experience in the heart of Wan Chai, featuring Tagliatelle tossed with seasonal artichoke hearts, mint and parmesan and in-house dry-aged Controfiletto, enjoyed with wines from Chianti.
A fiery culinary voyage and communal dining experience at Grand Majestic Sichuan allows guests to savour the Bang Bang Chicken with spicy sesame sauce, opulent Kung Pao Prawns and Dry-fried Beef Silvers. This prelude to the Lunar New Year soirée celebrates abundance and prosperity with warmth, laughter and auspicious flavours.
The beloved Chalet des Alpes returns during Black Series for another round of mulled wine, fondue and alpine charm, at an exceptional Black Series value of 528. Situated in the heart of SoHo, our much-anticipated winter pop-up invites guests to relive the nostalgia of a mountain escape in a rebellious winter retreat inspired by snow-dusted Alpine villages. Chalet des Alpes recreates the warmth of a traditional Swiss chalet, offering a rustic charm that captures the essence of après-ski without any of the mountain hazards or inclement weather. All of the melty cheese, none of the freeze for ten more days.
